The Bespoke Atelier

Upasana reinterprets the clothes you already love, in wholesome textiles: good on the body and gentle on the earth.
Rooted in Auroville, this bespoke practice carries nearly thirty years of conscious design and Indian textile knowledge.
FEWER CLOTHES. DEEPER RELATIONSHIP
You already know the shapes that feel right—either fit, fall and proportion you instinctively return to.
Bring us a garment you love. We listen to how you live, move and wish to feel, then reimagine it through Upasana’s design language.

MATERIAL WITH MEMORY
Organic fibres. Conscious colour. The healing touch of herbs.
What rests against our skin matters.
We work with organic and responsibly sourced natural fibres, khadi, handwoven textiles and plant-based dyes, minimising chemical exposure to your skin.
Selected textiles are coloured or treated with plants traditionally valued in India—including indigo, nature base dye - infused herbs like tulsi, neem and turmeric.

THE UPASANA WAY
Upasana begins with listening—to your body, your way of living and the feeling you seek from your clothes.
Design becomes a conscious meeting between person, material and maker.
For nearly three decades, Upasana has brought together Indian heritage textiles, responsible production, craft livelihoods, farming communities and design as service.
Your garment carries this larger ecology of relationships: the wisdom of the land, the hands that created it and the person for whom it was made.
